gcse ocr dt (24/25)

heyy!
im in year 11 right now and im still really stuck on what to do for my context, any ideas for the context "empty retail units"?
(the contexts for 24/25 are: household budget, reducing waste, and empty retail units, i've only done about 8 slides so im not even sure if i should stick with this now, should i change before its too late?)

would you mind giving a bit more info about what 'empty retail units' actually is lol because im struggling to really understand it even after googling
if youre up to changing i think household budgets would be pretty good, because it would be fairly easy and also interesting to come up with a multi-functional product

well the way my teacher explained it to me was like imagine a shop went bankrupt and you had to redesign the space for something else
do aqa and ocr have the same contexts this year??

you could make come up with some portable kitchen/coffee shop area? i mean idk if ur meant to or how, but like something that can be moved in case the place ends up being relocated again idk 💀 sorry this is acc pretty hard
nah aqa we have eating away from home, assisting sports (or smth like that), and educational toys and games. im doing the last one and bro i literally give up I swear

atleast the contexts are reasonably good 😭 wth is 1) empty retail units 2) household budgets & 3) reducing waste, our teacher was literally calling anyone who wanted to do 2) and 3) dumb so i kinda just went w 1) to be on his good side

yeah tbf compared to urs no offence... im starting to feel pretty good about mine lmao. i mean ig you get to use more of an eco-friendly/sustainable side to it easily which might get you good marks from the marker
im literally js doing a dinosaur puzzle lol, i was tryna think of something a bit more complicated and interesting but our final idea was due in last friday and we have mocks now and i genuinely cba to waste more time thinking about dt so ive kinda settled on that. yeaah we're doing it on google slides. you?

doing a whole powerpoint for my nea but atleast you could ergonomics and anthropometrics to make sure your pieces arent small enough for children to choke on them 😭😭

yeah lmao a lot of my feedback for our group critique was 'will the piece be a chocking hazard for a small child??' and i was like oh, maybe,
just finish my first mock half an hour ago, chemistry. wasnt toooooo bad but it couldve gone a lot better, all the topics sucked and there were some i hadnt revised and there werent any of the fun calculations or bonding questions 😭
also we do our mocks in the sports hall AND ITS LITERALLY FREEZING IN THERE IM STILL SO COLD RN

i hate drawing too oml im still stuck doing my drawings while making paper models aswell and its ROOMS SO IT TAKES BLOODY AGES
already did my mocks in december- hated my chemistry mock too it was js long, i revised all the things that didnt come up and i was ill aswell during mocks so i was barely pushing throughhh 😭 got my mark back last week and im actually so scared im going to move down to foundation since i got a 41/99. i normally get like 6's tho bro i was actually fighting back tears when i saw that horrid mark.

got my physics results today and i got a 6!! tbf im only happy because i was able to pull off a 6 even though i was ill, on zero hours of sleep, zero revision, and had barely 10 mins to get mentally prepared for the exam since it was a mere 30 mins after maths 😭😭 and thankfully the 4's from bio and chem got bumped up to 5's because i talked to the teachers and they felt bad 🥲
