I'm currently studying AS-level Media Studies.
I have a screenplay for my 2-minute opening scene to a feature length movie that we're supposed to do for the final assignment. I have most of the roles filled, except a few extras, but also the main role: a girl who's a violin prodigy.
I'm using constant action-match cuts, so the actor doesn't actually have to be able to play violin that well. The shots where the character plays the violin only constitutes around 40-60s of the 120s.
However, I'm still having trouble finding someone fitting for the role. I need someone who can pass for 17-19 years old, and can handle a violin. None of my relatives can act this role, so I can either find someone at school who can, or hire someone online, or whatever alternative solution. What is my best course of action?
