Where to study Masters

Hey I study electrical engineering at University of Southampton currently in 3rd year, is it worth it to study my 4th year at Imperial or UCL? I know Southampton already has a great ECS department, and I would be taking on more student debt if I were to go to London, I also dont know if I would be able to do internships between my 3rd and 4th year. I am sort of 50/50 on this decision at the moment and would like advice.

UCL, no. Imperial, maybe... but if you're looking within engineering any benefit it'd be extremely marginal, if at all. An internship would be very beneficial, however.
I've learned apparently you can have internships between 3rd year BEng and 4th year MSc, so I think regardless of whatever uni I can still get work experience. Why do you say no to UCL?

Hey there., I'm also in a similar situation right now. In third year and considering moving onto masters , I've applied to a few places including my current university.
From what I know I would advise you to consider University of Manchester too , they have an amazing electrical engineering department , a few of my electronics lecturers went there and they say great things . I would say have a look at the times ranking for that course to get a good feel for some of the best universities .
I hope this helps .

You asked if it would be worth taking on more student debt to study at UCL and I can't think of any reason why it would be unless you were desperate to study there.

Taking a separate MSc (if that was your thought) is horribly expensive and not really covered by student loans. Worth checking this and seeing if any perceived difference is justified by the costs.
