Avoid travel to Spain.

Recent news reports have made it clear that the Spanish do not like or what tourists.

Spraying tourists with water is just disgusting and with anti-tourist protests all over Spain, why would anyone want to visit Spain? There are much better and nicer places to visit than Spain where tourists are made to feel welcome. It’s a big world and Spain is a small country. We don’t need to travel there. We know where we aren’t wanted.
Seems a bit of an extreme reaction to a group of muppets spaying water pistols and putting tape on doors.

Not just that. A few years ago in Furteventura I remember a couple with kids walking back to their hotel that had beer sprayed on them from a car full of local youths, shouting swear words in Spanish and English which basically meant ‘go home’. I myself also experienced rude attitudes. Gave waiter a tip, he took it and didn’t even say thank you.

I've been to Spain a few times over the decades and yeah esp around the main holiday areas relationships between the tourists/hotels and the locals can be a bit tetchy, that's nothing new. I mind near 30 years ago a group of us getting nearly stranded at night because the last bus driver decided he was only taking natives, no tourists, that got pretty ugly until he hotel send a minibus to get us, but at the end of the day it was 1 small daft thing.

Likewise I can't really judge a whole nation on a few idiots throwing beer or a rude waiter, all these things happen in the UK every day It's not like those youths were making valid socio-economic points, they were just jerks parroting older jerks.

Going to Spain as European is cheaper compared to another Spanish spoken countries. The other places in the world aren't much worse at all, but more expensive.
