ESPS UCL 2025 Entry

Hi! I’ve applied for ESPS at UCL for 2025 entry and was wondering if anyone else has? It’s a small degree so wanted to hear from other people who have applied/thinking of applying. What language is everyone planning on taking?

Hey! I know this is somewhat late. I sent my application two days before the UCAS deadline, haha. Have you heard back yet? Did you have to take the TSA? I applied for French. You?

I haven’t heard anything back yet just info about the admissions day and TSA! I’m guessing I will have to take it which i’m a bit nervous about haha. I’m planning on taking German, did you go to the admissions day?

No, I didn't, unfortunately. I only found out and decided to apply to the program a couple of days before the deadline. But if you got an invitation to take the TSA, that probably means you passed the first stage! Congrats!!

Yes, I received an offer for ESPS with German a couple of months ago. How about you?

I’ve just done the TST today so waiting to see if I get an offer, fingers crossed! I think it went alright but I used all of my time up which hadn’t done in practice tests so I feel like it was a bit more difficult but that might’ve just been the extra pressure!

I would say i’m like 85% excited and 15% nervous, just beacuse London is a big change from where I live now! London is such a great city though and I think it will hopefully be an amazing uni experience! How about you?

I’m the same honestly. I love London and know my way around quite well, but I’m from the Lake District so will definitely be a big change. But SO excited for the course - it is all my interests combined into one degree. What are you thinking about specialising in? Currently stuck between history and politics - but I didn’t take history a level so will likely be politics lol!!

Probably politics for me as well! I do want to look at international relations but think politics will probs be more interesting! Are you starting German from the beginning?

Same for me! I have a love hate relationship with A-Level but didn’t just want to give German up after all this time!

Yes it has definitely been harder than I thought! I’m so excited for the course though and feel like German will be better at uni because you get to do more cultural modules and you get to study abroad!

Yes!! My ig is poppycrausby1 (i think tsr deleted one of my messages asking if you did Ahahaha) I found the tst a lot harder than the practice ones I’d done so was quite shocked to get an offer tbh. I did attend the applicant day and really enjoyed it! What about you?
