Accounting and finance at Sussex or royal Holloway

Hi everyone,

I wanted to pick my backup university but I don’t know which one to pick out of the two. Which one has better employability is overall better? My predictions are AAA and all my other universities need AAA or AAB. Royal Holloway requires ABB-BBB and Sussex requires ABB. Also are there better back up universities?
Look at the course structure for each course carefully, think about the optional units available in each year of both courses and which you would actually pick if you went there. Any sort of work-experience or work placement is a very valuable plus, as is any opportunity for study abroad. Both will enhance your graduate CV.

These are very different Unis - have a look at the campus tour films on YouTube.
And very different locations - small town Surrey will not be as exciting/fun as being in Brighton.

Hi there,

It's great to hear you're considering studying Accounting and Finance at Royal Holloway. Some of our previous students have gone on to work at a range of accounting firms and companies, from PWC and Deloitte, to Accenture and London Premier Hotels.

We have several students you can chat to on our website who currently study in our department of Business and Management, and will be able to give you some more information about your employability options. Feel free to ask them any questions about study and life here: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/chat/. You can filter our students by 'Area of study' to chat to those who study in the department.

Alternatively, you can email our admissions team directly here. They'll be able to give you some more advice and guidance about your career prospects.

We hope you find this useful!

Best wishes,
Royal Holloway, University of London
