Speech and Language Therapy at Reading University Entry Requirements

Hello! I'm hoping to be able to study SLT next year at Reading  I have some questions about the entry requirements! The entry requirements are an AAB but I'm making it my firm choice and I also have a learning disability that I've been told will bring my offer down. I'm just wondering how hard it is to get into the uni itself? I'm currently predicted to get all Bswhich is why I'm quite nervous. Many thanks in advance!

Hi @3146anon ,

I hope that you are doing well!

It is great to hear that you're interested in Speech and Language Therapy at Reading!

In terms of the offer you are likely to receive, you would receive the contextual offer which is typically 2 grades below the entry requirements (subject to change). This means your offer is likely to be BBB. This link might help with explaining what your offer might be: https://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-study/study/what-offer-will-i-get

In terms of how hard it is to get in, that is difficult to say as this depends on lots of factors including the number and quality of the applications that are received. I would say do your best to focus on making your personal statement as good as it can be by doing relevant work experience and research. Show your passion for the course and sell your skillset the best you can!

If you need any more clarity on admissions then I would recommend contacting [email protected] as they can give you specific information relevant to the next academic year.

I hope this has been helpful! If you have any more questions then please just ask

Hattie😊
