HELP - USA to UK transfer

I’m looking to transfer from my current U.S. highschool in my junior year to a UK university partway through my studies. Has anyone done a midway transfer like this, and could you share how it worked for you? Specifically, I’d love advice on credit transfers—do UK schools typically accept most credits from U.S. institutions, or are there extra requirements I should prepare for?
