Why are the short DNA sequences within introns replicated to form Mini and Micro-Satellites?
Hello Marrrrrrk!
Some time ago, I read a scientific article about this topic in the journal Science. The article concluded that researchers do not yet fully understand the process of replicating short DNA sequences within introns to form minisatellites and microsatellites, but scientists were sure that several factors drive this process.
Please ask your biology teacher to confirm my statement. Two opinions are better than one😀.
