Are these offer holder days or general open days? Also, do you know when cyber security will be making offers? My son heard back from his other 4 choices a while ago now.

Hi @Pipplater,

It's great to hear you've visited one of our campus tours and received your offer! I would wholeheartedly recommend one of our Open Days, as we will have a whole host of course specific talks and events that you may not have had a chance to experience on our campus tours, as well as the opportunity to speak to staff and current students from across the University.

Especially as we approach the time you may be thinking about making your UCAS choices, it's best to try and experience as much as you can so you're in the most informed position.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

Hi @Costajambo,

Our Open Days are well suited for people at any stage in their applicant journey, whether they've received an offer already or are thinking about NTU for this or the next few years. We aim to provide information and resources for all points in that journey, however as we approach key dates in the UCAS process some of our events on the day may be specifically tailored.

In terms of offers from our Admissions team, typically we expect that an applicant will hear from us within a few weeks of their application, however this can take longer at particularly busy times. It's worth any applicant checking their email to see if we've gotten in touch regarding their application, however applicants can always reach out to our Admissions team directly for an update.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

Hi,
I’ve been trying to get in contact because I’ve been offered a place at the London campus to study music production, but I’ve never been able to visit. I hold other offers too so would love to have a look around before deciding where to accept. Is there any possibility of having a quick look around and/or chat with someone about this university and campus in the next couple of months please?? i would love to get a better feel for the place as it does excite me. Thanks

Hello! I've just fulfilled all the conditions of my offer today and I'm very excited to be moving forward with NTU!
However, I'm a bit concerned I'm behind schedule in consideration to visa processing times, and would like to know how soon my CAS letter will be issued since I've fulfilled all my conditions including my deposit.
Any advice regarding the timelines and overall visa processing would be very appreciated, thank you!

Hi, we're looking forward to welcoming you to NTU!

We usually advise that it takes around 10 working days after you've met all of your offer conditions for your CAS statement to be issued. We try to get these out to students as soon as possible so that they can get started on the next steps, if you do find yourself waiting longer than two weeks it may be helpful to get in touch with our International team and country advisors to check on your status, especially as sometimes the length of time to process a payment fully can vary.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

Okay thank you very much, hopefully I do not have to wait for 2 weeks. Is there a dedicated team I can reach to regarding visa applications?

The best team to reach out to would be our International Student Support team; they'll be in a position to provide qualified Visa advice. In the meantime you can also explore our Visa advice page for more information!

Hello! I'm having issues with the tuition fee balance on my enrollment portal, in summary it's displaying a higher fee than what is actually left to pay.
I wasn't able to get any help by mail but I finally got through by call. They forwarded me to a bunch of teams and one of them said the issue is that my scholarship hasn't been applied yet and that I would have to wait till physical enrollment, but he wasn't sure. Finance said it wasn't their job and that they would forward me to international admissions to correct it but unfortunately, no one was available to take my call.
So my question is what is the usual procedure to correct this issue and do I have to wait till physical enrollment to fix this? I would much rather have it fixed now, as I would hate to miss the enrollment deadline.
Thank you.

Hi @Tobytobias,

I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing this issue! Our International team would be in the best position to advise you further on this matter, apologies that you weren't able to speak to them during your call, it can be a busy time for our Admissions teams, so sometimes there can be a wait to speak to them on the phone. I would recommend reaching out to them again at [email protected]; the team will usually apply any International Scholarships and have your full record to hand to assist in any other enquiries.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

How do you offer networking opportunities to your distance learning students? We are aware that your provide a lot of opportunities for the LLB student but what about DL? Are they left out?

Hi,

It's great to hear you're interested in our Law (distance learning) course!

Just like all our law courses, you'll have access to the full suite of our networking and employability events and opportunities, however you raise a good point that some of these, by nature of being in person or on campus events, may not always be accessible to all distance learning students. We hold a mix of career events specific to Nottingham Law School, some online and some in person; I would encourage speaking to our Employability team for an up to date schedule of our events and a more detailed discussion about the opportunities available.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!
