Hi there
I'll be joining you at NTU for Business and Marketing in September.
I've looked on line but I can't find any recommendation for a laptop or apps.
Any suggestions would be great
thanks

Hi @jbgb,

It's great to hear you're joining us this September! I may have caught your question in another thread, but just in case I'll share the same information below.

As standard across all of our courses, if specific software or equipment is required, you'll be provided access either through educational licence or through course and library services. Generally it's recommended to have access to a computer or laptop in good working order, however you can also take advantage of a suite of computers and laptops available for loan from our Library team.

Part of being a student at NTU means having free access to Microsoft Office suites through educational licence, as well as access to some Adobe software depending on your course.

You'll likely receive some induction information from the course team in the coming weeks; if you're required to have anything specific prepared before you start they'll be sure to let you know, so do keep an eye on your emails!

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi,
It's great to hear you're interested in our Law (distance learning) course!
Just like all our law courses, you'll have access to the full suite of our networking and employability events and opportunities, however you raise a good point that some of these, by nature of being in person or on campus events, may not always be accessible to all distance learning students. We hold a mix of career events specific to Nottingham Law School, some online and some in person; I would encourage speaking to our Employability team for an up to date schedule of our events and a more detailed discussion about the opportunities available.
I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

Thank you for your reply, I have sent an email. Hopefully I get a response soon.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you've had frustrations in trying to reach us. The best way to reach us immediately is often to call our Enquiries team, who will be able to help you to the best department to assist you further. Equally if you're trying to contact us about an application you can find the direct telephone number for our Admissions team here. I'd be happy to try and help with any questions you're comfortable sharing here, or at least find the best contact at NTU for you!

Hi there!
I wanted to ask about the University’s airport meet and greet scheduled for September 11–14, as mentioned in the “Travelling to the UK” email.
For September 12, I saw there’s a 6:00 PM pickup slot, and my flight is scheduled to arrive around 5:10 PM. I’m wondering if there’s any allowance for possible delays due to immigration, baggage claim, or flight delays.
Does the 6:00 PM slot mean the pickup starts at that time, or does it end then? I just want to be sure I won’t miss it if I’m running slightly behind due to things beyond my control.
Thanks so much for your help!

Hi @Tobytobias,

We're looking forward to welcoming you to NTU!

I would highly recommend getting in touch with our International team to discuss the meet and greet and coach pickup booking. More information about planning your journey to Nottingham can be found here, however the team will be able to advise you further on your situation, or any further arrangements that could be made to help accommodate your journey.

I hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know!
