Need help applying for SF after a year long study interuption

During my second year i took a year out of studying due to pregnancy so my funding was suspended. I'm due to go back in a few months so I'm trying to apply for funding for the second half of my second academic year.

I'm confused on how to do this. It asks if my studies were suspended and i said yes, then it asks about my course info such as where I am/was staying at the start of the first term September 2024 - December 2024 but I did my first term back in 2023. It then asks if my course tuition fee is £9200 but since some of this was already paid, do I alter it or just click yes?

Thanks

Hi Melissa,

Can you confirm if your course is full time or part time? Is the course undergraduate?

Thanks,
Claire

Do you know if you clicked on a new student when applying or continuing student? Are you completing the 24/25 application?

Thanks,
Claire

I’m using the same account I used for my first year and the first half of second year.

When I go onto my account it says ‘2023/2024 : suspended’ (this is when I did the first semester) so I clicked ‘apply for 2024/2025 but is this right? As I’m only doing the second half of the year?

I haven’t completed the application yet

Yes, 24/25 application would be correct. Once you submit the application the university would need to send us a change of circumstances to confirm the dates to and from you will be attending for.

Thank you. Do I need to tell my university this or will they just automatically tell SFE?

Sorry for all the questions but when it asks if I’ll be getting any other income do I include universal credit?
Hi melissa.17,

They should know to do this but you may need to remind them. You wouldn't include your income from Universal Credit as this is not a taxable form of income.

Thanks,
Calum
