Suggested CS universities with my predicted grades

Hey there, I'm looking to study CompSci in 2025 and I'm being predicted AAB with A in maths. What universities would be realistic for me to apply to? Which ones have good courses? I think I'm also eligible for contextual offers.

Hello!

Looking at the complete university guide, if you study both comp sci and maths you could take a quick look at Sheffield (AAA); you could also look at St Andrews (AAA-ABB), Glasgow (AAA-AAB), and Loughborough (AAA). If you're looking at contextual offers, Bristol's is AAB, Edinburgh's minimum is ABB.

Its generally advised to go for one aspirational choice a grade or two above what you're predicted, go for 2-3 realistic choices pitched about where your predicted grades are, then have an insurance choice one or two grades below what you're predicted, to give you a safety net.

The most important thing is to have a look into the different courses out there in detail. Assess whether the modules interest you and align with what you want to learn about and potentially do in the future. Then, if you are able, try to visit at least a few unis you're interested in to get a general feel of the campus and city, see if you feel at home there and can see yourself being happy there for 3-4 years. Open days are a great way as well to see the uni, chat to current students and lecturers.

I hope this helps, very best of luck!
