Student finance application help

Hi,
I am a 26 year old student, starting my first year of uni after I finished my foundation year. I applied for finance and maintenance loan in summer so I will be ready for Nov when I start. I got my application approved with around 10k for maintenance loan. My situation changed drastically around August when I stopped being called into work(I worked 20 hours/week) and my partner also got into university this September. So right now I am not working, we only have his income which is less than 1500 a month and we also got rent and some utilities increased since last year.
I received an email a few days ago about my application and that my partner has to send out his income details and I checked in today and my maintenance loan was cut to about 4k. If we send out my partners income, is there any chance I would be granted more money in maintenance loan, without impacting his ?

Hi Laura,

Yes, that's right - once we get your partner's income details we'll award you the correct Maintenance Loan.

Has your partner tried doing this by logging in, is there an option to support your application there?

Thanks, Graeme

Good evening Graeme,

Yes we are trying right now, but the message my partner gets is saying that he cannot support my application since it's been more than 3 hours since I applied for student finance.
What can we do now? Do we fill in the form and send it by post office?
Thank you.

Hi there,

Have you applied as a Migrant Worker? Did your partner ever support your application or did you tell us recently you had a partner?

Thanks, Drew

Hello,
I have not applied as migrant worker. He did not support my application as I lived with my mother prior and used her as a support for my application for my first year of university. I just now mentioned about him as we just started living together not that long ago and he used me for his sfe application. In my case, we were hurried by uni to start our sfe applications before the end of June so I had no idea that I will have to mention about him in my application.

Hi Lauradjs,

Okay, in that case I would advise completing the pff2 form. This can be uploaded on your online account once complete and will take around 21 working days to review.

Thanks,
Calum

Hi there,
So in this case I ask my partner to fill the form and send it to me so I can upload it to my application?
Thank you
