a level options

hi guys so basically i have to pick my a levels soon and what better way than to ask for peoples advice who know about them

basically the subjects i am thinking of and the option blocks they are in are:

A
English Language
Maths

B
Law
Politics

C
French
Philosophy + Ethics / RS

D
Economics
No other subject I want to do over it in this block

I either want to do something finance related, live abroad and work there, do some sort of political / government / diplomacy thing or do translation. Along with basically every other job bar being a doctor or engineer I’ll be able to do, which I’m fine with

I’m stuck on a few things
A) how interesting is eng lang (AQA)
B) how interesting is politics (AQA)
C) how interesting is law (AQA)
D) how interesting is RS (OCR)

as of right now, i *think* i want to do A - maths, B - politics, C - French, D - economics, however I’m not that sure how fun politics would be. don’t get me wrong i read the news every few hours or so and i love politics and reading about it for fun, but i don’t know if doing it as an academic a level will ruin my enjoyment of it. it just seems a bit dull, as does law, but i think politics is held in higher regard and i think i would enjoy it more, due to my complete lack of interest in learning about the law

also, are the subjects maths economics politics and french good together, or should i consider other things

yeah any advice would be appreciated, it’s really just those subjects out of each option block i’m considering so it’ll likely be some of those

also sorry to keep adding on but it’s just if i don’t do politics i’d do something like english language or rs because there’s a block which allows you to move those subjects into the block if the teachers can accommodate it, if not if just do law or FM (say there weren’t enough politics students wanting to do the course) so basically i’m just asking for a bit of a description on each a level i am considering, as well as their difficulty

just to preface i’m starting out with 4

thank u for reading

What do you want to do with these these A levels - any ideas about a Uni subject or a a career area?
Which subjects are you good at? Which do you enjoy the most?
No-one can tell you if you will find any particular subject 'interesting' - its a very personal thing,

Both Law and Politics are solid essay-based subjects and useful for all sorts of degrees - totally 'respected' by Unis. Economics without Maths would limit you if you decide to go for an Economics degree.

"A - maths, B - politics, C - French, D - economics" would leave lots of eventual degree options open to you - but you don't need to take all 4 subjects to full A level, one could be dropped at AS level to give you the best chance of 3 good grades in Year 13.

i either want to do an economics or languages degree (i think)

we’re only allowed to do the full 3/4 to a level, as our school does not offer as level, so it’s recommended that you test the water out and drop the 4th one at the start of year 12
