UoB entry requirements

I just visited an open day. A UoB lecturer told me although i don’t meet the entry requirements for psychology due to my one BTEC subject not meeting the rest of the requirements (my 2 a levels do as I’m doing a science a level) i will be reviewed as a non standard entry applicant, so he recommended i still apply. Do you think it’s risky to apply. He didn’t seem 100% confident but i really want to apply..? Kinda confused now

I don't know which Uni this is (UoB could be Bristol, Birmingham, Bolton etc) - but its worth talking to the Admissions Team rather than an academic about entry requirements as they often are not that knowledgeable about the finer details and can tend to say the first thing that comes into their head. Email Admissions with the exact titles of the qualifications you are taking and ask them if it meets the entry requirements for the course you are interested in.

This academic lecturer said the general admissions team will deal with general standard entry, then they will be referred to him as part of the admissions team as a non standard entry applicant to be considered on a case by case basis depending on modules i do in my BTEC etc? So confusing…

hi! can i ask what thus subject would be? i am also struggling with this as i do four a levels but i’m on all B’s and the man leading the talk made it fairly clear that they wouldn’t allow all b’s in until clearing;’)
