I got all A1 in Nat 5s, anyone need any advice?

I took 6 nat 5s: maths, maths apps, english, history, pe, biology and chemistry; some of which I got full marks in.
Anyone need any advice on how to get a good result in these subjects?

Wow congrats on your results. They look very good. Can I please get advise on N5 English, I'm so overwhelmed with a lot of stuff I have to practise and learn and also N5 chemistry and biology, I'm fine with maths.
Thank you😞🙏

Thanks for the kind words.

For biology and chemistry I would look into Jabchem as they have past papers, worked examples and more for both biology and chemistry, which can help a lot in understanding what you have to answer to get the marks.

For English, I would say I got lucky because my mum is an English teacher 😅 but it is one that I got full marks in in both the prelim and final exam.

For the RUAE, make sure you check out understanding standards on the SQA website and make sure to do practice under timed conditions. A special tip to make sure you secure marks is at the end of the paper, if you have the time, go and add an extra answer to each question, for example: if it is a 4 marker make 5 points.

For paper 2, the main thing is to familiarise yourself with your set text and the quotes you will use for the 8 marker, as well as trying to remember your essay as well as you can while also being able to write it as fast as possible to a high standard.

For the folio, your English teacher should help you with all you need so I can't give much advice apart from do your best.

If there's anything else, be sure to ask, best of luck with your studies!

What's the best way to memorise and be prepared for any essay question?

What's the best way to memorise the critical essay and be prepared for any question? My practice of the critical essay in my classroom was a flop, I only did the intro, the 1st paragraph and not even half the 2nd paragraph. I really want an A.

Realistically the only thing you can do is practice writing a main essay that you know your quotes, analysis and intro/conclusion for.

Use note cards or just write essays again and again until you can do it without help.

Then, practise it under timed conditions; give yourself more time at the start of your preperations but in the end you should be aiming for around 45-50 minutes, depending on how long your set text will take you.

The thing about N5 english is that one essay will be enough as all you have to change between questions is the but after your analysis when you link back to what the question asked.

I ended up getting full marks for N5 English so any questions you have, if I haven't explained something properly, ask away!

Best of luck!
