Hi!
If you ace Paper 2 after a poorly performed Paper 1, you might be able to improve your final grade by 1-2 grades, but it depends on how well you do on Paper 2! So what I recommend is REALLY FOCUS on paper 2, learning specific vocabulary, and possibly learning a high-end creative writing piece / learning some high-end persuasive phrases before-hand

oh for me it was the other way round i done really well on paper 1 but than paper 2 i just run out of time
