Biochem or Natural Sciences

Hi guys… so I’ve been on here so many times asking about degree choices… it’s a process… but I think I’ve finally decided on a course I’m happy with… I find the idea of biochemistry really interesting, but I’m also someone who is interested in so many different things so natural sciences also appeals to me. My current plan is to apply to two unis for natural sciences and three for biochem, but if I did decide to do biochem obviously it would be better to just apply for that so I’m not sure what to do. I want to do both breadth and depth but I know that’s not realistic 😂.

I do biology, chemistry, psychology and german, and although I’m interested in biochemistry, I also love chemistry and psychology so would love to be able to study some chemistry too or even psychology. I don’t really know what I’m asking for, just maybe some advice or people who have done natural sciences / biochemistry and what kind of things they’ve studied… especially at Newcastle and Leeds as those are my two natural science options. And does anyone know if I’d be able to do more biochemistry modules than other modules, or if I’d be able to swap to biochemistry if I decided that’s what I preferred? Thank you ☺️
