Who wants to rejoin the EU or the single market?

Poll

What should we do regarding the EU?

Re Americas 'revolution'. Saw some British commentator saying we need one too but I can't help thinking this - They are a global superpower. Our 'revolution' was to leave the EU and break up another potential global superpower, Europe. So they get more power, we get less and Putin is pleased. I voted leave and I do think the EU is flawed as a model but given all other factors I regret my decision. You got Russia, China the USA. And EUROPE. That's where I want to be given geopolitics and the fact we've declined. Not a medium sized power like Japan. But part of a global power block like Europe. I believe there's a distinct possibility Scotland will leave the union and rejoin the EU so where would this put England? Probably the right would want a 51st state judging by how they are online. Anyway poll attached.

We should never have left to begin with. When we left we gave up our opt-outs and the UK-EU rebate. If we re-joined we would lose both of them and get no special treatment, it would be a worse deal than the one we had previously.

That said, we should aim to be more closely aligned with the EU given the rise in isolationism from the US. We shouldn't leave our economy and national security to the whims of a few hundred thousand swing state voters every ~4 years.

Every informed person knew that Brexit would weaken us economically and diplomatically. Every informed person knew Brexit would result in massive rise in non-EU migration and asylum seekers. It was an idiotic decision.

Ideally we should look to rejoin the EU but the political will is not there at the moment. However I suspect the prospect of Trump wanting to start a trade war against the entire world and the worsening geopolitical situation will push us closer to Europe.
