help on english language paper 1 question 5 !

i got my mock coming up on wednesday and i suck at question 5. since it's 50% of the paper, is there anyway i can get like good marks??? i just want to aim for a good 5 rn even though im in set 1 english

Make sure you have good time management for all your English exams because they don't give you much time at all.
As for Q5 specifically, decide whether you prefer writing stories or descriptions and how you're going to structure it before (e.g. my teacher recommended the structure of DROP into the action, SHIFT in time/place/character, ZOOM into the protagonist's thoughts & feelings and LINK the end of your writing to the start) plus have an idea for a plot so you don't have to spend so much time planning in the exam. Make sure you know how to write in standard English correctly (i.e. using at least the basic punctuation properly) and learn a couple of high-level vocab that you can slip in somewhere as SPaG is worth quite a lot of the marks. Vary your sentence lengths (e.g. shorter ones during the action) and make sure you can use different techniques and put lots of them in your writing (similes, metaphors and some description are the things you basically have to use)
