A career that allows me to travel and pays well?

I want to do economics, it seems interesting but I don’t want to sit in an office all day. Are there any jobs in economics that allow me to at least travel and pays amazing?

Or any other course that I can do at uni?

I also want to apply at oxbridge but my sixth form doesn’t offer further maths. I got a 7 at gcse and I’m doing maths for a level. I believe I will do well because I went from 3 to a 7 in year 11. Do you think it’s a good idea to do further maths independently?

Economics does have a travel component, you can always choose to transfer to foreign departments in large multinational firms.

Regarding your other question, I really wouldn't recommend studying further maths independently if you only got a 7 in it at GCSE. Try and see if your school offers the AS level.

Sorry to break it to you but Oxbridge Econ is going to be very difficult. I won't say impossible, but realistically self studying Further Maths A level (one of the hardest levels) having achieved a 7 at GCSE is very difficult. Even after doing so, getting an A* in further maths is no guarantee of getting an offer from Oxbridge.

Firstly, forget about pay for a moment. Look at courses you'd be good at and you'd enjoy then look at pay. By all means rule out certain career paths or degrees if they aren't economically worth while, but my point is that financial prospects are only something you take into account, not something that guides your decision making solely.

Now, assuming you'd like to study economics, look at unis and rank them by personal preference based on Reputation, Graduate Prospects, Course structure and Location, campus etc. Be realistic with yourself, Oxbridge, LSE etc are all going to be painfully difficult for you to get into. There are still other great unis, Manchester, Nottingham, Warwick etc are all good for economics. They're top rated Russel Groups. And they are all very competitive.

I don’t wholeheartedly like economics, if by all means it means ending up working in an office. These options are great as well. But I want a job that I like and pays well, thus I need to find the right course, but idk.

That's something only you can find the answer to, you'll need to research and find a career that you'd like.

I have looked into PPE before and law which might allow me to travel because I enjoy it. And I think I have wider options with it. But I do maths , physics , psychology and Italian . Is that okay for Oxbridge if I get AAA*A* ? What else can I do to increase my chance of getting in?

Look into the civil service fast stream for Diplomacy (economics). They have a separate economic diplomacy stream that’s focussed on development. It’s also equivalent to a masters degree.
