can universities see whether you resit your igcses?

if i resit my igcses would the uni i potentially apply to know? so like if i get say a 6 in chemistry and i resit it and get 8, does that mean i apply with 8 and like i officially got 8, or would it show that i previously got a 6? Also think i heard someone say that it shows bc u take that resit in a different yr than your other igcses, but if im taking it in june, arent there resits in october? so same year?

You have to declare all attempted qualifications including both original sittings and resits. It will be obvious that you've taken it twice and therefore one is the resit as a result. Also I believe in UCAS you put in the month and year of the qualification so they would see one is June and one October.

Note this is not option - you must declare all attempted qualifications and failure to do so can lead to UCAS declaring your application fraudulent, any universities that made you offers being free to nullify those, and UCAS then exclude you not only from that year application cycle but also future years as well potentially.
