Any debating in Y2/3 for Law at Uni of York?

Hello, I'm currently in my first year. I have a debate summative next week and I'm super nervous about it. I also have a moot court the week after that. Will there be debates and mooting summative for years 2 and 3? I want to ready myself first if there is. Thank you!

Hi imloki,

I have an answer from the programme lead. They say the best advice on this is for you to speak to your module tutor about your concerns, or if you prefer, you can contact the module leaders who will be happy to assist. Their contact details are available on the module VLE page under 'module information'. There are no assessed debates or moots in second year or third year compulsory modules, but there may be some of these types of assessments in optional modules. You will be given information about the assessment format of optional modules at an options fair in semester 2 and the assessment information is set out in the module catalogue.

Thank you soso much. I'll talk to my PA and some of the module leaders. I'm glad that there aren't any assessed moots and debates in the compulsory modules.
