I just want to check whether the below is good for applying to LAW (specifically as a top institution, ie UCL or Cambridge)
A-Level English Literature A-Level Chemistry A-Level Psychology
What are all your opinions on my A-Level choices. Is there a subject (other than history) that would benefit me more, over one of the above A-Levels? Also, if you are doing Law at Uni, what A-Levels did you do?
Yeah that combination is good! It will keep a lot of options open including law as theres no specific subject requirements but an essay subject can be preferred. So if chem, psych and English are all enjoyable to you then it’s a great combination! If you want other ideas sociology or politics might link well to law but are by no means necessary to study it. I don’t personally aspire to go into law but one of my friends who is aiming for a law degree is doing Biology, Geography and English Lit 🙂
That combo is fine. There are no required subjects for law. It's best to study subjects that you are interested in and which you are likely to do well in. Do your best to head towards A grades and better. Think about super-curricular activities such as essay prizes, mooting, mock trials, debating, and extra reading, and in due course think about preparing for the LNAT. Good luck!
