Is it just me or is it quiet tonight?

So why are you on TSR instead of going out/ other stuff like everyone else?

Personally its because I have nothing better to do. It beats work and I cant be bothered to go out in the rain. Besides I have no-one to do anything with.

Original responses would be good.
because I like to watch rainbow colored hippos dance in the rain.

the green people who inhabit my head like to swing dance to the music of my computer's humming.

because I am currently packing for a trip on a horse with no name that will take me to the sun.

I'm hoping to see viveek do a math problem with his hair in a mohawk.

I think Jesus will be coming tonight and that listening to the rock and roll on my iPod will save my soul. :thrasher:

I think that taking showers in the middle of my backyard pond are cool.....

Forks at restaurants scare me, and might run after me going down the street.

Although it is not so bad on this thread, I find it amusing that people normally have to respond to this sort of thread with some kind of excuse. It seems that you are seen as very uncool unless you are out destroying you liver at the weekends!

Heh... 6 out of 36, but 5 of those 6 are blocked. I went through a recent phase of blocking everyone, and I haven't bothered to click "unblock" yet.

I've already been out for the day, I had a highly enjoyable afternoon watching films with my girlfriend. So I'm fine with staying in.

Good point, and well made. I keep making excuses to myself though. Although I'm not actually doing any work, I keep telling myself I'm not out partying because I've got too much work to do and a cold- as if I would be out partying otherwise..

I blocked about four people on MSN, and now I want to talk to them again- but they've been blocked for about half a year. I can't suddenly unblock them again! How suspicious would that look, being offline for 6 months and then suddenly being online everyday..

hehe! It is good to be different from the norm!

Personally I hate the drinking culture that has taken over the UK. I was actually quite shocked to see a 'make-over' program that was trying to turn a tea-total person into a heavy drinker....I think that is disgusting.

If I do go out 'drinking', it is just for one or two at the local pub for a natter. Normally though I only go out to somewhere like the cinema or for a meal.

Why has it been assumed that we should all be out getting hammered? Just socialising with people other than via a computer would be nice. Preferably with no alcohol involved.

I'm starting to unblock them gradually, and act as if nothing at all had happened. I don't know most of them that well anyway.

Yeah I agree....although I think it would be a safe bet to say that the majority of people that have gone out (out of their house) tonight are drinking in one form or the other.

Taking your point then, I am not out socialising because the people I would do that with have gone home for the weekend.

Ok so hijacking my own thread slightly why is it that the only things to do in an evening involve alcohol & clubbing? Why cant there be other stuff to do?

If these already exist and I just dont know about them please tell me what there is to do.
