hi im predicted an A in alevel maths whats unis would be good for data science bsc, my dream is leeds but i dont have an A predicted
You say both "im predicted an A in alevel maths" and "i dont have an A predicted", which is a little confusing. What subjects are you doing? What are your predicted grades in each?

Hi @anonymous234512 ! I'm a final year comp sci student at the University of Brighton. The University of Brighton has just started a Data Science course! The grade requirements are BBB-BCC. I study computer science and have met the course leader for this course and he seems really passionate about it and is really excited to be able to teach data science! Later in the course you get the opportunity to take the SAS programming certification exam which is highly sought after by employers. You also get the opportunity to do a paid placement year in-between your second and third year which the University is great at helping you find. I used them when finding placements and work experience last year.
The computing school really focuses on teaching you how to work in industry as opposed to just theory with no application which is one of the main reasons I chose here.
I hope this helps! If you have any more questions feel free to ask me or contact the uni ! Blue- TSR Student Ambassador

Understood. Thanks for the clarification. As I'm sure you're aware, for their Data Science BSc, Leeds ask for AAA/A*AB including a minimum of grade A in Mathematics. That doesn't mean you can't apply with a predicted B - it just means that you'll be less likely to get an offer.
Your original "whats unis would be good for data science bsc" question is quite broad. What is it about Leeds which appeals to you? Or, put another way, what are you looking for in a uni?

mostly the area is a big factor and and student satisfaction, im from manchester so I liked the city campus in leeds and the area, sheffield i liked aswell but there aren't many unis which are city based and aren't asking for an A in maths. also somewhere which isn't expensive to live in.
