Will I be able to get into Zoology with an animal management T level?

I'm currently studying animal care Level 2 at college and I'm wondering if it'd make me eligible to do Zoology at university? I still have a while to go to before uni of course but I'd like to know if I can get onto a Zoology course with an animal management T level and if not what route should I go to get into Zoology?

Good afternoon @Kayllister,

Its great to hear you are considering studying zoology!

At the University of Reading, the typical offer for Zoology is for A-level ABB, including grade B in Biology, or BBB, including grade B in Biology and grade B in a second science subject.Acceptable science subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Geography, Environmental Science/Studies, Applied Science, Geology, and Computer Science. Or for BTEC Extended Diploma a grade of
DDD is the typical offer (Modules taken must be comparable to subject-specific requirements).

Our typical offers are expressed in terms of A level, BTEC and International Baccalaureate requirements. However, we also accept many other qualifications.

Entry requirements shown on the course pages are only indicators for typical offers. However, the university treats every application on individual merit. So don’t rule yourself out. If you are unsure whether your predicted grades would be acceptable for entry, contact the Admissions Team, as they are great at identifying the other qualification types.

It sounds like your course choice will be a great fit, but it is a good idea to double-check with the Admissions Team above.

I hope this information helps you gain the answers you require. If you have any questions please let us know.

All the best,
Ella
