When to Apply to Uni

Confused about the university application timeline? No worries, we have a timeline laid out for you to understand the whole process.

From 3rd September 2024 – Applications are open!
Your applications are probably already underway or some of you may have already submitted them – which is great!
Whatever the status of your current application, you still have time to apply. Make sure you’re happy with your uni and course choices and check out some personal statement advice on the BCU and UCAS website to get your application ready to go.

29th January 2025 – Deadline for completed 2025 entry UCAS Undergraduate applications
Make a note of the deadline and start to plan what you need to do to submit your application on time.

26th February 2025 – UCAS Extra Opens
UCAS Extra? Extra is a way to make additional uni choices if you have used all five choices on your original application. You can use Extra if you have been unsuccessful with all your offers or have declined your original offers.

March – Apply for student finance!
Student finance applications will open sometime in March. You don’t need to wait until you’re told that you’ve got on your course to apply for student finance.

February – March 2025 – Offer Holder Days
If your application is progressed, look out for an invite to our Offer Holder Days or portfolio review dates.

5th July 2025 – Clearing is open for eligible 2025 applicants!
If you didn’t get an offer from your firm or insurance choice or if you haven’t applied yet, you can use Clearing to find a place at uni.

17th July 2025 -Deadline for university decisions on applications submitted before 30 June

14th August 2025 – A Level Results Day!
Time to celebrate all your hard work!

Hi @PQ

Unfortunately, we can't say for certain as this changes each year. Many of our courses do go into Clearing but unfortunately, we're not sure which ones!
