UCAS university entry requirements advice needed for any tech degrees

Which are some of the best unis in the UK, which don't require a level maths I have a 4 in GCSE Maths, and a DMM to a DDD predicted grade for my course. For any computer science and other tech/digital related courses/degrees uk. I am not sure if any Russell Group would accept these grades, or if they are flexible with their entry requirements or not. As I already have resit GCSE maths twice as I have gone to a different college, I don't really want to resit again for a higher grade, I was aiming for a 5 and above though. I had done UCAS last year, and I was going to do a foundation year as I did the Level 3 national diploma in IT and got a DM grade, but now I don't want to do that as I am doing an extra year at a new college, to not do the extra foundation year. My internal college UCAS application deadline is also 22nd November.

Any advice or help given is appreciated!

If Russell group is your aim, spelling it correctly is always a good first step :borat:

In all seriousness though, knowing that they are research intensive unis, you'll need A level maths or a high GCSE maths grade to really be considered.

Computer Science is an application of maths, and so you'll need to have strong maths skills. Unis would tend to look for a good maths A'level grade, although a few would accept a good GCSE grade (I'm talking grade 6 and above).

A 4 in maths just won't cut it for Russell Group I'm afraid :frown:
Computer Science is still an option, but it would be at other universities.

You may be able to find a Foundation course that will accept just a BTEC and a comparatively weak GCSE Maths grade.
Try using google and checking the entry requirements for each course. .

But I don't want to do a foundation course... that's why I'm doing an extra year at college to get better BTEC qualifications

There are some here but you will need to do your research to see if they accept your qualifications.
