Kazakh people at Cardiff University

Hello there! My name is Adilet, i am from Kazakhstan. Last year, i did the Foundation Programme at the University f Warwick, unfortunately I wasn’t able to get into first year, so now i am applying to Cardiff University. So I wanted to ask, are there any kazakh people studying at Cardiff University? (ps: there was a huge kazakh society back at Warwick, and i am hoping there are some kazakh people at Cardiff as well.)

Hi Adilet,

So glad to hear you are considering Cardiff, its a great uni. Im a student here at Cardiff uni and love it. We do have a very international student community. If you take a look at our Cardiff Students' Union page here you can see all the societies offered, and various international communities around. I can't initially see a Kazakh society, but you can always set up your own society, and im sure there will be many people happy to join. Alternatively if you find other societies you are drawn to, you can often find yourself meeting more likeminded people in that way.
My partner is from South Africa, and without joining a society he met one South African and then was able to meet many other South Africans. So sometimes it can happen naturally like that too.
