What opportunities are available with my selected subjects?

I am currently in Year 12, studying Computer Science, Maths, and Economics. I have a question: Can I get into a good university if I want to pursue a degree in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence? My GCSE results are not very strong, and I am feeling worried. I would appreciate any advice.

Presumably you don't have any predicted grades right now, as you're in year 12. It's your A level grades (and the predictions of those grades) which will have the most significant impact on your ability to secure the offer/place you want. Do you have any sense of what sort of grades might be achievable?

In terms of A level subjects, you're fine. You say that your GCSE results are not very strong. The two key GCSEs are obviously Maths and English Language. What grade did you get in those?

You say you want to "get into a good university". Do you have any particular universities in mind?

Almost every 'good uni' bases their offers on your A level predicted grades, personal statement, and any entrance tests required for that course. I wouldn't worry too much about your GCSE grades as long as you've passed English Language and gotten a reasonable grade in Maths (7 or more).
