Edinburgh Uni Accommodation Recommendations - College of Engineering

Hey! I'm in the process of applying to university accommodations for next semester as an exchange student in the College of Science and Engineering. I'm struggling to find a good accommodation that balances being close (enough) to the engineering buildings, but also is social and close enough to downtown.

I'd love some thoughts on if it is worth it to be close to the engineering buildings, or if it would be better to just go near the arts campus/old town. Right now, I am considering Warrender Park Road, South Clerk Street, Robertson Close, Holland Annexe, Hermit's Croft, David Horne House, and a few others.

Warrender park road is good, only issue is the constant construction going on which is very loud as windows are not double glazed. But when thats not going on its peaceful and near enough to busses and short walk to library and shops

I am also an exchange student in the College of Engineering. Did you happen to get your preferred accommodation?
