English UCL applicants 2025

Hiya, I’ve started a thread for applicants applying for English at UCL since I don’t think there is one yet!
I’m curious to see if anyone has heard back yet regarding interviews or has been given an offer ?

Are you comfortable saying whether or not you’re an international applicant? From what it says on their website it seems like they don’t interview and either accept or reject straight away

Has anyone else’s heard back?
No I haven’t heard back yet, does anyone know when we’re going to? On the website I swear it said they start conducting interviews on a rolling basis from november

I have no idea at all. I applied in early October and haven’t heard anything. It’s sort of frustrating that they can interview you right until the end of March so you kind of have to be prepared all the time.
Hadnt realised it was interview based ? Anytime until march oh god ?!

Yes it is. Although they can accept you without an interview but I think this is uncommon
Hey I'm so surprised that I haven't heard anyone hear back from UCL for either an interview or decision. I applied in early October and haven't heard anything. also, are interviews confirmed like do all of us have to sit one if chosen?

I’m quite surprised too. It says on their website that they interview most of their domestic students however, they can accept you without interview I think if your application is exceptional. I’m just going to assume that if I hear back it’ll be for an interview confirmation or pre interview rejection
Hey, I also haven't heard back despite applying on 14/10/24, and being a domestic student. I did receive an email 2 days ago (Tuesday the 10th) saying that they'd received my application, which seems odd given that it's been just under two months.

I received the same email!! I was so confused and it gave me a panic for nothing.

It seems strange that their website says they aim to get responses within 10 weeks -- is that 10 weeks from when I send it, or 10 weeks from when I get this second receipt email?
I just got my offer! Contextual of ABB with no interview needed!

Did anyone else receive an offer from UCL today? I got mine, extremely pleased but I'm not sure why I just got an offer without doing an interview
Same no interview! Maybe they’ve decided against interviews this year?

It seems so, at least for English. A lot of universities seem to be changing it up this year (I didn't have to sit the ELAT for my Oxford application), so maybe it's a kind of transitional period. Just happy to have received my offer, really.

I believe the Elat was cancelled due to technical problems experienced last year.
