Applying for a university course with 1 grade requirement lower.

I'm predicted AAB, do I have a chance of applying for a course that asks for AAA? (bristol)

Its possible that they may make you an offer but be prepared for No.
Having one risky choice like this is worthwhile - just make sure that you other choices are more realistic and that you have at least one choice below your predicted grades.

Hi there!

If you are studying the correct subjects that the course requires (e.g. A-Level Maths for BEng Engineering or A-Level English Lit for BA English) then it's definitely worth applying.

It's always good to have an aspirational choice or two on your UCAS application, alongside a couple of 'safer' choices where you match up exactly with the entry requirements.

At Nottingham, some of our courses actually no longer consider predicted grades. Because predicted grades can be very unfair on many students, we have started making offers to those who are simply studying the correct subjects. However, entry to a course is still dependent on meeting the required grades on results day.
