cambridge architecture admissions test

hi everyone! i've recently received my interview and admissions test invite for architecture at pembroke college. i was searching up some prompts of previous years for the drawing assessment and so far ive found two on their official website - one back in 2016 and another one is the specification in 2018. does anyone know where to find the drawing prompts in the past years or is it supposed to be kept confidential? thank you so much!

Hi I'm also doing the architecture admissions test next week and I know that questions/prompts for the admissions test are meant to be kept very confidential. That's probably why there is such a lack of past. As someone who has tried looking for past prompts or any information, I feel your pain!!

Will all students who are invited to take drawing test be interviewed? Or student won’t be interviewed if the drawing test results does not meet what the college expects? Thanks!

hello! yes all students who have gotten the admissions test invite will be interviewed, regardless of your performance. the admissions test is more of a comprehensive evaluation process for the admissions officer, so even if you don’t do well in it, your interview performance + other factors eg academics and submitted portfolio and personal statement will be considered! hope it helps 😀

I can only find the sample paper you mentioned

Another question suddenly came to my mind is, whether Cambridge gives offers to students under different conditions. For example, a college requires students to get 42 points or above in IB, will they require certain students to get 43/44points (instead of the minimum points 42) if they think they’re more academic but not artistic enough?

Yess, they do give diff offers depending on the varying conditions for each applicants. While typical offers are A*AA for A levels and 41-42 for IB, there has been cases where the college has to adjust them based on their assessment of an applicant's overall profile. I'm not really sure about architecture school though, but for competitive courses e.g engineering, applicants typically receive higher contextual offers. Hope it helps!
