Edinburgh vs bath architecture?

Does Edinburgh and Bath university for architecture both require a portfolio? Also which do you think is more competitive?

Bath doesn't request a portfolio, but has subject requirements that you need to meet. Edinburgh requires evidence of artistic ability so might request a portfolio if you don't take a creative subject. They are both competitive courses.

Hi! I'm Charlotte, a year 2 Graphic Design Student from Norwich Uni of Arts.

That's great to hear that you're thinking of taking a creative course at uni! Have you considered us?

You can request one of our prospectuses for free here: Norwich Uni Arts prospectus or find a list of our open days on our website.

Likewise, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck on choosing a uni!

I take A-level design Technology, do you think they would still want a portfolio from me?

Do you also know if they both require an interview?

I'm not sure. @parrot05 might be able to tell you if they were interviewed for Bath last year.

There is an architecture applicants thread if you want to join in or watch it:

Hey in terms of Bath, since it is a more technical than artsy course you need to do Maths/Physics and Art isn’t really required. If you’ve done DT that’s absolutely fine and you don’t need a portfolio.
In my experience, you don’t have interviews if you do A Levels and apply through UCAS. Make your personal statement the priority as that is how they judge suitability for the course. Good luck
