A Levels for Criminology degree

So I'm thinking of doing criminology (or forensic psychology but most likely criminology) at uni and i'm not sure what subjects to take so i just wanted to see if anyone else wants to do the same thing and what they want to take/ have taken for this.

I was thinking of psychology, maths because its meant to open up more options and stuff, I want to stay at my school but they don't have sociology so instead what else can i do?

There’s generally no required subjects for criminology so if that’s the goal you should just pick 3 subjects you’ll enjoy!
If you might be looking into psychology degrees then you can sometimes have stem subjects required or preferred so doing psych and maths would be a smart move.
Are you interested in stem degrees like forensics? If so then doing science subjects like chem or bio would be good.
On the other hand, if you’re more interested in doing a social science subject like criminology or sociology broadly, an essay subject like history or politics might come in handy.
However, this all depends on what you think you’ll enjoy and be able to excel in. What subjects do you enjoy at the moment? Have you looked through the specs or topic lists for any of the courses on offer to see if they appeal? Do you have any predicted grades? Watching some videos by students who’ve taken or are taking the course can be useful to get their experiences.

Are you aware that a Crim degree is actually just a Sociology degree with a different name?
And that it wouldn't make you a 'Criminologist' - that is a specialism within Psychology.

That’s great to hear! What have you decided on out of interest? (Fine if you’re still not sure or don’t want to share though 🙂 )
