pharmacy application

Hi, I’ve just sent my ucas application off for pharmacy, hoping to get into Swansea or Cardiff but have also applied to Portsmouth, bath and Birmingham.
I am studying a levels in Biology, chemistry and welshbacc (dropped maths after As) and got AAB in my As results. Do you think these will be good enough grades to be invited for an interview, as I meet the standards of grades however I feel like I could be slightly disadvantaged with welshbacc?
Thanks ☺️

Hi @Kkkkkkvddryiikpp !

I'm a 4th year pharmacy student at the university of Nottingham.

Most universities invite you for an interview based on your predicted grades, so if they match then you will hopefully receive interview invitations.

Here at Nottingham they allowed me to apply with the Welsh Bacc, and it didn't disadvantage me at all, as long as the universities you applied for accept the Welsh Bacc as an A-level.

So I wouldn't worry too much, especially because Welsh Bacc is the third A-level after the necessary two scientific subjects, so they're not particularly concerned with what that A-level is.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reply.
