MSc in Development Economics

I am currently a second year student studying Economics and have recently enjoyed studying Development economics and want to continue studying it at a postgraduate level. What I want to know is, how is it at postgraduate level and what can I do in second and third year to increase my chances of acceptance at a good university such as Oxford?
