2025 Clearing

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible for me to go through clearing after being rejected for the same course, the Requirement was AAA but I achieved A*AC and AS (B). I was rejected when I applied through UCAS but will it be possible to apply through Clearing or Ring them in August 2025?

Hi @kinghki1,

I wouldn't say the situation is impossible, but it would really depend on the uviversity as to whether they allow that, and the course, which may not have any spaces open during clearing. If you are allowed, often the entry requirements during clearing are slightly lower.

I hope this is helpful to you

The University is Leeds and the course is Economics or Accountant & Finance
Short answer, yes it’s possible but only if they have places available in clearing. For those subjects it’s less likely, but you’ve nothing to lose by contacting them when clearing opens.

If a Uni rejects you its usually because they know they wouldn't accept you with those achieved grades - even as a last minute applicant just to fill the course. As above, you can phone on Results Day, but be prepared for No.

Hiya there,

You've already had some solid advice so I won't parrot it. Just wanted to throw in the mix the option of taking this year out to work/travel/volunteer and if you can re-take the subject you got a C in and then reapply for your course in the main cycle next year. If you chose to do this (and it is only a suggestion - what you do is 100% up to you) then not only will you have hopefully bumped up that C to an A, but you will also be going to uni having earnt some money, having had some time to think about what your goals are and having got a bit more experience for your CV.

I hope this helps, wishing you the best of luck!
