Midwifery A-level options?

Hello, I'm a Year 11 sort of struggling with what to decide for A-levels. I'd like to do midwifery in the future but also keep my options open. So far this is what I have in mind:

Biology - this is required by most unis for a midwifery course

Fine art - I consider this a skill of mine and I enjoy it quite a lot. It's probably what I'd do in the future If I decide not go through with midwifery

French - this is the one I'm not really sure about. I'm good at it so I don't think I'll be really overwhelmed and it's a humanities subject which is good I believe? I know maths is considered really useful but I don't have the grade needed for it right now. If I do get it later on, I might change this?

Could I please get some opinions on this?

Is a second science required for midwifery? If not I’m sure this would be fine.

No, biology is the only science required. Thank you!

The majority of unis require a science A level for midwifery, not biology specifically. So taking a science and any two other subjects will be fine. If you are not sure about French, consider subjects such as sociology or psychology.

You can check uni entry requirements by using the NHS course finder:

I think French would be great as additional languages can be really helpful when caring for patients who may not speak/first language is not English
