Question about English Cambridge entrance exam

Hey guys, I'm applying to Cambridge for English and got my interview offer this week (yay!), my entrance exam is next Tuesday.

This may be a stupid question but as it's all online, does anyone know if we can print off the extracts to annotate them? I am fine with typing up a response but I am very used to annotating the texts physically to organise thoughts and ideas etc. I've emailed my college about it but no reply yet as I'm assumming they've got loads of emails!

So, does anyone know if we can print the extracts off?

I’m in the same boat as you. English exam on Tuesday, what college are you?

From what I have seen we don’t print off the extracts either but I hadn’t really thought about it. It would be a lot easier to annotate by hand but.

I actually just got a response from my college. We can print off the extracts as long as we destroy any notes and evidence afterwards for confidentiality reasons. so yay

That’s a really cool college. Why did you choose it?
I chose Girton. I loved how peaceful it was and the history of Girton is truly inspiring.
How are you feeling about the English Admissions test on Tuesday?

i don't know too much about girton but it sounds really cool!! i think choosing a college really just comes down to vibes. for me lucy was the only college where i felt myself physically relax and feel at home. they have 90% state school kids so thats a perk!

just hoping they don't give us a difficult theme for the test on tuesday tbh but feeling alright about it! wbu

Yeah Lucy is meant to be lovely.

Yeah I’m also hoping for a relatively nice theme that is open to interpretation. I’m oddly looking forward to the test. I think it will be a good experience. I’m just happy that I have an interview and have a the chance to do all of this. I think no matter what I will learn a lot from it.

Good luck with CELAT.
