UCAT Score Not Sent

I've recently received a rejection from Manchester to study Medicine based off the reason that I have not taken the UCAT, when I took it in August and have all the proof to show. I have to assume there was a mistake in my UCAT score being relayed to universities, which would result in all 4 of my medical choices rejecting me since I "didn't take the UCAT". I've tried to figure out what went wrong, and besides a basic clerical error on the UCAT consortium's end, I'm worried it's because I used separate e-mails - my school e-mail for UCAS as my school needed access to send in predicted grades whilst my personal e-mail when I booked the UCAT. Is this how they connect candidates to UCAT scores? I have e-mailed all my universities of choice but no helplines are open till Monday so I wanted to get as much advice as possible over the weekend.
Any help is appreciated!

So sorry to hear this, this is absolutely awful - if Manchester had rejected you based on no UCAT results.

Get your school involved in this immediately, whilst writing to UCAT immediately as well.

Thanks a lot for the reply - I've e-mailed our head of key stage and hope to hear back soon. I've also e-mailed all my other universities in somewhat of a frenzy and attached my UCAT score report, but I'm worried I have missed the deadlines and it's now too late to be reconsidered. Just waiting for any further correspondance!

The unis are likely not to accept the UCAT score report you sent, its just their protocol and procedure - unis only accept UCAT delivered results but its good you made them aware of this.

The best thing is to raise a case with UCAT.

What exactly is on the Manchester email and what is your UCAT score - as far as I know Manchester is still shortlisting applicants so nothing heard as yet - at least not for myself from A106 admin people.

If universities won’t accept my score report, how can I get my UCAT score sent to them? I’ve sent a request to UCAT to have my application checked and see where the error is.

My score is 3250 B2 and my unis are Oxford, Manchester, King’s and Imperial for Medicine.

There has been no e-mail from Manchester, just the reason on the UCAS rejection message saying ‘You have not taken the UCAT, University Clinical Aptitude Test’.

I have also just realised there was a tech mix-up on my end too and I had requests from Oxford, Manchester and Imperial to get my score last week. Unfortunately, I was checking a different e-mail address (really long story, honestly it does boil down to the fact that I should’ve been checking this address too, but I also think this problem wouldn’t have arisen in the first place if my scores would’ve been correctly sent) so I missed the deadline to send my candidate report. I have sent them in anyways, but I don’t know how strict these deadlines are and whether it’s too late for them to consider me. I’m mainly hoping they see my score and understand where the mistake came from and re-consider me, but I can’t be too sure where I stand right now.

Thank you so much for the replies and advice - it’s so appreciated!

Do take things a step at a time now. Uni admin need to follow the protocol of not accepting info from applicants but once the admin error is recognised, hoping quick rectification follow suit asap.

Good that you have written to the unis hightlighting to them the issue and now its getting the head of ucas from your school to be involved as a matter of urgency.

Hope it goes well.
Try not to worry about it until you can speak to them on Monday (I know easier said than done). Admin teams are likely very busy and most aren't that dependable even on a good day. I believe your UCAT is linked to your name with all your identifiable info, not just email address. Did you put the same home address, date of birth etc on both UCAT / UCAS?

I'm sure they will realise the error and correct this, they don't want to miss good candidates like yourself over something so silly. Good luck

Hi, so update on the whole thing: Manchester reaffirmed that they can't overturn the rejection and it's set in stone - not ideal, of course. However, I contacted Oxford and they've now matched my score and are considering me like everyone else! Kings and Imperial have me a bit more confused because Imperial have re-requested my UCAT from the UCAT Consortium (could take some ti. e so they told me to check in again next week) and Kings are saying that my UCAT score is "attached" to my application on the portal since I sent it to them, but with both I'm not getting any final confirmation that all's good and they have all the required information.

This is a huge improvement from before, and overall it seems like all three universities SHOULD (touchwood !!) be considering me with my UCAT score.

Thanks to everyone for the replies, it was all really helpful and got me through the weekend without absolutely losing it!

All's not lost and glad you managed to turn the table round!

Oxford, Imperial, KCL are still accessing candidates at the moment, so as to speak. Fingers crossed for you.

Which college did you applied to at Oxford?

Next thing to determine is to find out what the root cause of the issue and have it addressed.
