Hi! I've applied to do Pol + IR too, I applied two weeks ago but not heard anything back yet. Everyone seems to be getting offers from Newcastle within days but I haven't yet.

Liverpool, Manchester, Durham and Northumbria!
I am still waiting on a reply, was really hoping I could firm Newcasltle but it is looking more unlikely as so many people have received offers within days and I haven't! My predicted grades are A*AA so still holding out hope

Aw thank you! No I have still not received a response, it is really deflating as it is my first choice university. I would just rather know at this point so I can make a decision about what to do.
How exciting that you have an offer though! Do you study politics at A level?

heyy!! i’ve also gotten an offer for politics and IR at newcastle!! my predicteds were A*AA for psychology, criminology and english language, and an A* in my EPQ! I’ve also gotten an offer for Leeds, but just waiting on Edinburgh, Kings college, and liverpool now!!

I'm curious did they send you an email saying they'd received your application? It's so weird that you haven't heard back yet. I know I had to sign into the application portal and that was quite easy. Hopefully you hear from them soon!

Yes! I had an email saying that they have received my application and I signed up for the application portal. I check the portal all the time but still no changes, it just says 'awaiting decision'.
It is really difficult as Newcastle is my first choice and I want to start making other decisions if I do not get an offer! My predicted grades are higher than the entry requirements so I'm unsure why it is taking so long

Aw that’s amazing! I’m not off to the offer holder day sadly as it was all sold out so I’m going in May. How did you manage to book your studio?? I’ve got no idea how to book accommodation ☺️
