Law application 2025 do the unis align with my application?

I’m planning on applying to these 5 unis
1)kings (aspirational) For LLB Law -AAB
2)queens For law and politics LLB - AAB - but have seen they accept down to BBC
3) SOAS - Llb law -AAA - seen they accept CCC
4) City - LLB Law -BBC
5) university of law - LLB law- BCC

I’m currently predicted AAB - ABB
Im eligible for contextual offer so these are the contextualised offers the unis would give me.
My GCSEs are the down fall to my application- 5554444332
All my teachers thought my personal statement was extremely strong
And I have done extra curriculars such as - Invest in law weekend program , insight into slaughter and may conference, Clifford chance online work experience and I have a job in international loss adjusters.
Was just wondering if I should swap out any of these unis and if it’s a realistic set of unis are any of the ‘lower’ unis bad.

IMHO your choices are reasonable and pragmatic. ULaw had gone into clearing in recent years so you might take it as a clearing backup and swap for a RG non-LNAT uni aspirational choice (Cardiff?). KCL requires LNAT and so it adds a bit complications.

Perhaps Queen Mary? It is AAA and does not require LNAT, perhaps could go down to AAB...

Doesn’t queen Mary have enhanced gcse requirements, I’ve applied but my GCSEs are 77666444 however my predicteds are A*A*A and my personal statement is pretty good from the feedback I’ve received? But im just worried they will reject me because of my GCSEs?

I didn’t see anywhere on their page exact GCSE requirements, maybe smth you could check. I think you should be fine with you PGs and personal statement. The only GCSE they would likely care about is English.

Oh, I see, sorry, I didn't know. I was applying as an international student, so they only showed me requirements for the last two years of school, not the GCSE. I would still say that Queen Mary is on the more lenient side of Russel group, so maybe the OP should contact them and ask if their grades are okay. It would surprise me if they cared about every single grade, because, for example, LSE only has strict requirements for maths and English at GCSE.

Hi there,

Great to hear you are so passionate and pro-active about pursuing law.
Here at Cardiff we offer LLB Law. Many of my friends do law here and they love it, most of them are now doing their masters here too. I think Cardiff is a great place to be a student, and the uni and student community is so good!
Congratulations, they are good predicted grades, and Cardiff is for sure realistic!
Hope this is helpful, and any other questions let me know,

Hey!

I think your uni choices look pretty good, and it’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought into them. The fact that you're eligible for contextual offers is a real bonus, so don’t stress too much about your GCSEs. Your strong extracurriculars will definitely help you stand out.

The University of Law is a great option if you’re looking for practical experience and career-focused training. The courses are designed to give you real-world legal skills, and our smaller class sizes mean you get more attention and support from tutors—something that can make a big difference. Your job in international loss adjusters is also a great touch, showing you already have experience in the legal field, which ULaw would really value.

As for entry requirements, ULaw typically asks for BBB at A-level, which is a great match for your predicted grades! Plus, since you’re eligible for contextual offers, there could be some flexibility with your grades, making it even more accessible.

Ultimately, it’s about finding the place where you feel you’ll thrive. If ULaw’s approach and focus on employability resonate with you, it’s definitely worth considering. Best of luck with your application!
