I am currently in the process of applying to unis and I'm planning on applying to both Aston university and Lincoln university, the problem is I'm incredibly torn between which one to go to, I want to study mechanical engineering, does anyone have any advice which one is better

Hi @Jimbojam,

The University of Lincoln offers the three year BEng - Mechanical Engineering course and the four year MEng - Mechanical Engineering course, both are which are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). The University has a wealth of academic expertise and strong industry links to Siemens Energy.

Recently, the University of Lincoln was awarded Gold, the highest rating possible, in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023 for delivering consistently outstanding standards of teaching, learning and outcomes for our students. The University has also been ranked in the UK's top 10 modern universities in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024. In addition to these accolades, the University was also awarded the the Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2023. This is the highest national Honour available to UK colleges and universities.

If you haven't visited already, I'd recommend booking onto an Open Day to get a feel of the campus and the city, but also for a chance to speak with some students and academics. The last Open Day of the year is on Saturday 7 December, and you can find more information here.
