Two people applying to the same course at Imperial

Someone from my school and I have both applied for Imperial's Aeronautical Engineering degree. Is it likely that the uni will only want to take one or the other, even if we're both good enough?

No. If the best 50 candidates in the country all happen to have attended the same school, Imperial will take them all. There's no "quota" per school.

this is only kinda a thing for oxbridge and same college and course. It is definitely not a thing for imperial; my school regularly gets multiple offers for the same imperial course.

It's not 'kinda a thing' for Cambridge Colleges, they take the best, and it doesn't matter if they come from the same school for the same subject.

the only reason i said it was rumour and stuff that cambridge tend not to take from the same school. To be clear, I don't have any evidence of this, only heard about this from other people and have not seen it myself.

There's no urgency to fill the space with a response. Best not spread rumors on a forum when there are people that know the facts and when you are just perpetuating false impressions of the accessibility of Oxbridge.
