I just received a "talent database" email from the HO. No idea whether this means anything?!

It will be difficult to do so as apparently thousands of people have passed the interview. For example via a FOI request for a recent HMRC role (500 roles) it was confirmed that 43,170 applications were received and 9877 applicants were invited to the "Pre-recorded video interview". I can only assume that the figure would be something similar for the AO role at Home Office. Someone working for CS on Reddit had mentioned 6k applicants did the AO interview. Not sure if this is correct info.
I would suggest continue to apply for other jobs and don't stress out for this one. If you get an offer for this role in the next 1-6 months then that's a plus. And who knows you might be successful elsewhere. Don't rely on this role only. All the best.

I wanna know if anyone has received an offer yet at all for London, the wait is getting ridiculous

My cousins offer for this role at the home office came after about a year so I think it’s best to just let that email come through eventually. He said they’re very slow and judging how long the recruitment process took it’s not gonna be any time soon

Was it the same situation as in everyone got put on a reserve list straight away?

I’m on the reserve list for a HMRC role too but don’t think I’m seeing an offer until December time or after the new year. I’ve deleted this app like FOUR times in the last month! but I come back to it out of curiosity, just to literally see how others on these lists are getting on lol 😣
