Muslims, what do you think of kicking your kids out if they become add*ct*d?

You don’t have to be a parent, but hypothetically if your future kid were to get become add*ct*d and didn’t want to help themselves, would you kick them out and make them homeless?
I absolutely wouldn’t. I hope that situation doesn’t happen and I’m not judging others who would, but I can’t fathom it even at the extreme. Homelessness in my culture is intolerable and unacceptable
